Deliverable: A furnished room modelled from a supplied plan, materially and dimensionally correct, rendered in daylight and in artificial light from the same camera.
Deliverable: A building exterior rendered at a stated time of day with a correct sun position, composed at a realistic focal length with verticals corrected.
Deliverable: One interior rendered three times — morning, overcast and evening — from an identical camera, with the lighting changes documented.
Deliverable: A raw render and its post-produced version presented side by side, with a written note on what was corrected in post and what should have been fixed in the scene instead.

Students almost always arrive believing that better modelling produces better images. It does not, past a fairly low threshold.
A perfectly modelled room lit with a single default light looks like a computer drawing. The same room with a correct sun position, a considered exposure and materials at real-world scale looks like a photograph. The gap between those two images is entirely lighting, materials and camera.
So this course spends three of its six modules there.
A wooden floor with a plank two metres wide reads as wrong instantly, and nobody looking at it can necessarily tell you why.
Real-world mapping — a tile that is 600mm because the tile is 600mm — is unglamorous and it is the difference between a render a client accepts and one they say “looks a bit off” about without being able to explain.
Post-production is part of the workflow and it is also where bad habits hide.
The last project puts the raw render and the corrected version side by side and asks which corrections should have been made in the scene instead. Brightening a render because the lighting was wrong is a patch; fixing the lighting is the job, and it survives the client asking for a different camera angle.
This course uses V-Ray throughout because studios do, and covers it to the level needed for good architectural work.
If you want real control of the renderer — global illumination, complex material layering, optimisation for large scenes — the V-Ray course goes considerably further, and taking it after this one is the sensible order.
Questions
Almost always lighting and material scale rather than modelling. A wood texture stretched to the wrong physical size, a reflection value guessed, a light that has no bounce — each reads as wrong even to someone who cannot say why. The materials and lighting modules are the largest here for exactly this reason.
3ds Max remains the standard in Indian architectural visualisation studios and interior firms, and is what job advertisements name. Blender is free, improving quickly and excellent for personal work. If you want a visualisation job in a studio, 3ds Max; if you are self-employed or want to avoid licence cost, Blender is a genuine alternative.
Not required, but very helpful — most projects begin from a CAD plan and you will be importing, cleaning and modelling from it. Being able to read a construction drawing correctly is what keeps a visualisation dimensionally honest rather than approximately right.
Yes, as the render engine throughout, since it is what studios use. The course covers V-Ray at the level needed to render architectural scenes well. If you want deeper control of the renderer itself — global illumination settings, complex materials, optimisation — the dedicated V-Ray course goes considerably further.
