Deliverable: A two-storey building modelled with correct levels, compound walls, floors, roof and stairs, navigable and free of the modelling errors listed in the module checklist.
Deliverable: A window or door family built from scratch with working type parameters, demonstrated flexing correctly through at least three sizes without breaking.
Deliverable: A sheet set with plans, elevations, sections and a door schedule, all generated from the model, demonstrated updating correctly after a design change.
Deliverable: An architectural model linked with a structural model, with an interference check run and every clash either resolved or documented with a reason.

In 2D drafting, a wall moved in plan and forgotten in section is a live site error, and drawing sets drift apart quietly across a long project. In Revit the section is a view of the same wall — the disagreement is not possible, because there is only one wall.
Schedules and quantities come from that same model, which is why quantity surveyors benefit from BIM as much as designers do.

Indian construction uses sections, fittings and details that those libraries do not contain, and a building modelled entirely from generic families documents something that will not be built. Making a parametric family that flexes properly across sizes without breaking is what distinguishes a BIM modeller from a Revit user, and it is why families get their own module and their own project.

Revit has largely taken over building documentation in larger Indian practices. AutoCAD is still everywhere for 2D detailing, small jobs and coordinating with consultants who have not moved.
Most offices need both right now. Learn this, keep the AutoCAD, and be the person who can work either way.
