Placement assistance

Every student gets placement assistance — that is what 100% placement assistance means. It is support for all, not a job for all. We do not promise a specific salary, a specific number of interviews, or placement at any named company, and you should be wary of anyone who does.

What is included

  • A place in the monthly placement drive, held every third Saturday
  • The readiness programme every second Saturday — mock interviews and preparation
  • CV review against the specific roles you are targeting
  • Portfolio review, so your project work is presented the way a reviewer will read it
  • Access to the vacancy pool employers send directly to the Samyak network
  • Guidance on which roles realistically fit your background and which do not
  • A place in the next drive, with coaching, if you are not selected in this one

What is not included

  • Any guarantee of a job, an interview, or a particular salary
  • Placement at a named or partner company
  • Applying to jobs on your behalf
  • Support before you have completed the course and its project work
  • Visa, relocation or overseas placement assistance

You configure it, you do not watch it

There are two ways to teach SAP. One is a tour of transaction codes, which produces someone who can follow a process and stops dead when it differs. The other is configuration, which produces someone who knows why the system behaved that way.

This course is the second one. You build a company code, define the chart of accounts, set the fiscal year variant and post into your own configuration. When a month-end close goes wrong in your client, you fix it, and that hour is worth more than a fortnight of demonstrations.

Accounting first, always

FICO is not accounting software you can learn without accounting.

If debit and credit are not already instinctive, and a trial balance is not something you can read, the configuration becomes a sequence to memorise. It works right up until an interviewer asks why a particular posting hits a reconciliation account, and then it does not.

This is the one prerequisite we hold to. If you need the ground first, our Tally and GST courses build it properly and are a common route in.

About the certification claim

We train. SAP certifies.

The certificate from this course is a Samyak certificate. Official SAP certification is booked and paid for through SAP directly, and no private institute can award it — anyone implying otherwise is hoping you do not check. We will tell you what the official exam involves and what it costs if you want to go that route.

Where the jobs actually are

Being straight about this matters more than the enrolment.

Most SAP FICO hiring wants finance domain experience alongside the module. A fresher with this training and no accounting background is a difficult sell; an accounts executive with three years and this training is a strong one. Freshers do get in — usually through support and end-user roles, then across to consulting — but it is a route rather than a leap, and anyone promising otherwise is selling.

Questions

SAP FICO (Financial Accounting and Controlling) — frequently asked questions

Do I need an accounting background for SAP FICO?

Yes, and this is the one prerequisite we will not waive. FICO is accounting expressed as a system — if you cannot already read a trial balance or explain why an entry is a debit, the configuration will be memorisation rather than understanding, and an interviewer will find that out in about four minutes.

Which is better to learn, FICO, MM or SD?

They are different careers, not difficulty levels. FICO suits accountants, MM suits people from procurement, stores or supply chain, and SD suits sales and order management backgrounds. Take the one that matches your existing experience — that experience is what makes you employable in the module, not the certificate.

Is this an official SAP certification?

No. This is training, and the certificate is issued by Samyak. Official SAP certification is booked and paid for through SAP directly and is a separate exercise. Anybody suggesting a private institute can award SAP's own credential is misleading you, and we would rather say so plainly.

Will I get server access to practise on?

Yes — practice access is part of the course, because SAP cannot be learned from slides. The configuration projects specifically require you to build in your own client rather than watch a demonstration, which is also what makes them worth talking about in an interview.

Can a fresher get an SAP FICO job?

It is harder than the marketing suggests and you deserve a straight answer. Most FICO hiring wants domain experience alongside the module knowledge. Freshers do get in, usually through support or end-user roles first, then move to consulting. Treat this as a strong addition to an accounting career rather than a shortcut past one.
