Placement assistance

Every student gets placement assistance — that is what 100% placement assistance means. It is support for all, not a job for all. We do not promise a specific salary, a specific number of interviews, or placement at any named company, and you should be wary of anyone who does.

What is included

  • A place in the monthly placement drive, held every third Saturday
  • The readiness programme every second Saturday — mock interviews and preparation
  • CV review against the specific roles you are targeting
  • Portfolio review, so your project work is presented the way a reviewer will read it
  • Access to the vacancy pool employers send directly to the Samyak network
  • Guidance on which roles realistically fit your background and which do not
  • A place in the next drive, with coaching, if you are not selected in this one

What is not included

  • Any guarantee of a job, an interview, or a particular salary
  • Placement at a named or partner company
  • Applying to jobs on your behalf
  • Support before you have completed the course and its project work
  • Visa, relocation or overseas placement assistance

The short road to employable

Nine months is the right answer for someone building a career in industry accounts. It is the wrong answer for someone who needs a job this year.

CAP exists for the second person. It covers the four things an accounts department actually asks a new hire to do — keep the books in Tally, get GST right, handle routine TDS, and reconcile the bank — and it does them on a real half-year of transactions rather than on exercises.

What it leaves out is payroll, cost centres and the deeper statutory work. Those are in the CIA programme, and you can add them later.

Reconciled, not just entered

Entering vouchers is the part everybody can do.

Reconciling — making the GST return agree with the ledger, making the bank statement agree with the cash book, finding the one entry causing a difference — is the part that separates a hire from an applicant. Two of the three projects are specified around exactly that, including one where the numbers genuinely do not match and you have to find out why.

Being clear about the certificate

This is a Samyak certificate. It is not statutory, and it is not CA or CMA.

Those are professional qualifications with their own bodies and examinations, and nothing taught here substitutes for them. What this does is make you useful in an accounts department quickly, which is a real and immediate outcome — just a different one.

Filing versus preparing

The course takes you to accurate, reconciled return data.

Filing itself is usually done by a practitioner or under one, and the portal changes often enough that memorising this year’s screens is a poor use of your time. Knowing the law’s structure, preparing correct data and being able to spot when something does not tie is what stays valuable.

Questions

Certified Account Professional (CAP) — frequently asked questions

Should I take CAP or the Certified Industrial Accountant programme?

CAP is six months and covers the core — Tally, GST, TDS, banking and Excel. CIA runs nine months and adds payroll, deeper statutory work, cost centres and a full year of finalisation. If you need to be employable sooner, take CAP. If you want to run an accounts department rather than assist in one, take CIA.

Do I need a commerce degree?

No. The first module builds debit and credit from nothing, and people from other streams complete this regularly. Commerce students will move faster through the opening weeks, which is why some choose to start at the second module — tell us your background and we will place you honestly.

Is the certificate government recognised?

No — it is an institute certificate issued by Samyak. It is not a statutory qualification and it is not equivalent to CA or CMA. What it is meant to do is make you employable in an accounts department, and the finished books from the projects are what carry that weight in an interview.

Will I be able to file GST returns after this?

You will be able to prepare the data accurately and reconcile it to the books, which is the part employers hire for. Actual filing is usually done by or under a practitioner, and the portal mechanics change often enough that the course teaches you to check the current process rather than memorise last year's screens.
